"Helpful, but a little confusing for a brand-new runner"
I’ve been checking out Runnersworld.com as someone who’s new to running, and my take is that there’s definitely good information there, but it doesn’t always feel aimed at beginners. Some articles seemed to assume I already knew the running lingo or had a training routine figured out, so I found myself getting a bit lost. I did come across some useful beginner tips, but it took more clicking around than I expected. Overall, I think it’s a solid site, just not the easiest starting point if you’re coming in with zero experience

"Good overall, but the newsletter feels a bit misleading"
I generally like Runner’s World and have found some helpful stuff there, but the newsletter has been kind of hit or miss for me. Some of the tips are useful, while others feel repetitive or not really aimed at my running level. I also wish the wording was clearer sometimes, because the subject lines make it sound like the advice will be super specific or game-changing, and then it ends up being basic. It’s not bad, just not always what I expected.

"Email settings work, but instructions could be clearer"
I signed up for Runners World and was expecting to get buried in emails. The email frequency settings do work, which I appreciate, and once I changed mine, it actually stayed that way. Now I only get updates once in a while instead of daily stuff. The only thing is I wish the instructions were a little clearer when changing the settings, but overall it’s simple and nice to have the option without fully unsubscribing...

"Quick and Easy Account Fix"
After renewing, I couldn’t log into my Runner’s World account, so I sent a message figuring I’d be waiting around for days. But nope, they got back to me that same afternoon. Who doesn’t appreciate a fast reply when you’re already frustrated? The person helping me was clear, didn’t make it complicated, and had my access fixed quickly. what more can you ask for? I was really happy with how they handled it

"I’m on runnersworld.com often. They cover..."
I’m on runnersworld.com often. They cover a ton of races, not just the big-name marathons. Results, previews, smaller events, little race stories. It’s all there. Saves me from checking a bunch of different sites.

"Decent site, but the privacy stuff is a pain"
The site has some useful stuff, not gonna lie, but the whole cookies and tracking setup is kind of a pain in the ass. There are way too many options to click through, and it feels like they made it annoying on purpose. Decent overall, but that privacy mess is dumb.

"Friendly, but a little quiet"
The forums have a friendly vibe, which I appreciate. People seem welcoming when they do reply, but it’s not always super active, so sometimes you’re left waiting a while for responses.

"Good articles, but the layout gets tiring"
I still enjoy reading Runner’s World, and the articles are usually worth checking out, but the print layout is just kind of tiring. Some pages feel crowded, the text feels small, and after a while it’s just not that easy on my eyes. It’s not unreadable or anything, but it keeps feeling cluttered, page after page.

The photos are nice, but they can take up too much room, and then the reading flow gets broken up again. I found myself getting a little annoyed because it feels like the same issue keeps coming up — too busy, too crowded, not quite simple enough. Overall, I’d still read it, but the layout could definitely be cleaner. I’d give it 3 stars.

"Race calendar checked out"
I compared the dates with the races I was looking at, and everything matched. Straightforward, but that’s kind of the whole point of a race calendar, if the dates are right, it’s useful. This one was handy.

"Canceling was surprisingly painless"
I had to cancel my Runner’s World subscription and I was kind of expecting it to be annoying, because cancellations usually turn into this whole maze of clicks and confirmations and “are you sure” stuff. But it was actually really simple. I found the cancel option quickly, got the confirmation right away, and that was it. No weird extra steps, no runaround, no hassle. Just kind of refreshing when something like that doesn’t become a whole thing

"Made my runs feel easier quickly"
I noticed a difference faster than I expected. My runs started feeling smoother and less exhausting, which makes it feel worth it to me. Definitely a good buy if you’re trying to make running a little easier.

"Helpful, but I Still Double-Check Elsewhere"
I usually end up on Runner's World when I’m trying to figure out what shoes or gear are actually worth looking at. At first I get excited because some of their lists are genuinely helpful, and they’ve definitely helped me narrow down daily running shoes before. But then I’ll start scrolling and feel a little disappointed because a lot of the recommendations seem to repeat, and it can feel like the same big brands show up over and over. So I don’t totally rely on it. I’ll use it as a starting point, then jump over to other sites and read real user reviews before I buy anything. It’s not bad at all, just not something I’d trust completely on its own.

"Good articles, but the ads get old"
I actually like the articles and usually find them worth reading, but the ads can get annoying after a while lol. It’s not a dealbreaker, just something that makes the experience a bit less enjoyable

"Really happy with the service"
I’ve been really happy with the print delivery so far. They’re rarely late, which is such a relief, and it makes the whole process feel so much less stressful.

"Actually keeps me going"
Not sure what it is exactly, but it makes me want to get out and run more. I’ve been using it lately and it just kind of helps me stay motivated.

"I signed up for Runner’s World mostly..."
I signed up for Runner’s World mostly because I wanted training plans and shoe advice, which sounds very practical, and I guess it was. But then I ended up reading random stuff too, like quick form tips or race stories when I was supposed to be answering emails. So, in that way, it’s been more useful than I expected.
What I like is that it doesn’t feel like I’m paying for something that just sits there. Some days I only want a short tip before a run, other days I’ll fall into a longer article about pacing or gear or whatever. Not everything grabs me, but that’s kind of true with any subscription.

For the price, I think it’s fair. If you actually read about running and not just subscribe because you feel like you should suddenly become a better person on Monday, it’s a good value. I’m happy with it overall.

"I’ll be honest, my first impression of…"
I’ll be honest, my first impression of Runners World wasn’t the best because it felt like they were pushing products right away. That kind of turned me off at first. But after spending more time on the site, I did find a lot of useful articles and solid training tips. I mostly trust their running advice, though I still take some of the gear reviews with a grain of salt since they can feel a bit too product-focused. Overall, it’s a decent site, just not perfect

"I like it, but it doesn’t always feel made for runners like me"
I do like Runner’s World for training tips, gear advice, and shoe reviews, but personally, I sometimes feel like it’s geared more toward people who are already fit or really serious about running. As someone who likes a more approachable pace, I’d love to see more content featuring beginners, bigger bodies, older runners, slower runners, and just a wider mix of people. They do include some of that, but in my opinion, not nearly enough. It’s still a useful site, I just think it could feel a lot more welcoming to all kinds of runners.

"I signed up mostly just to…"
I signed up mostly just to check out the training plans and race tips. Getting digital access was easy enough, and I could read everything on my phone without much hassle. I did have one small login issue, but it got sorted out quickly. Overall, I’m just happy with it.

"Runner’s World has saved me from bad shoe buys"
I usually check Runner’s World before I buy running shoes because their reviews just feel honest to me. They don’t come across like they’re chasing hype or trying to sell me on whatever’s new. It feels like the shoes were actually tested by people who run, which makes me trust them more. they’ve helped me dodge a bad pair twice, and I was so relieved both times because running shoes are not cheap...
